Research, monitoring, and evaluation
AIP Foundation is committed to ensuring its programs are data-driven. We use a range of monitoring and evaluation techniques to collect information to improve our programs and to prove their effectiveness.
We often work with third-party research institutions who provide us with independent evaluations or collaborate with us on research projects. For example, we have partnered with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to develop robust methods for monitoring rates of helmet use. These methods were used to assess the effectiveness of our public awareness and school education campaigns in Cambodia and Uganda. We also have relationships with a number of research institutions such as University of Wisconsin, USA; Hanoi National University, Hanoi School of Public Health, and the Center for Creative Initiatives in Health and Population, Vietnam.
We aim to contribute to the evidence base for best practice in road traffic injury prevention, and we share the results of our research with the international road safety community. We do this by producing publications, contributing to local and international conferences, and publishing in the professional and academic literature.
